Street ministry
Outreach
Taking the gospel outside the four walls of the church has been at the heart of Chris and Jessica’s ministry for more than a decade.
The story
More than a decade on the streets
Chris has led street ministry and outreach departments for years, taking teams into prisons, care centers, nursing homes, and parks, and onto the streets to serve the homeless. Through these outreaches, thousands of people have been ministered to one on one. Thousands have been fed or had practical needs met, and hundreds have received salvation or experienced healing.
Just as important, hundreds of church volunteers have been empowered to preach the gospel, pray for the sick, and bless people in need. For many of them, it was the first time God moved through them to save or heal someone, a feeling that quickly becomes contagious.
Today
Chris and Jessica serve in weekly outreaches with Vital Society in Tulsa. Chris also serves on the board of Project 600, a new nonprofit building churches, homes, and community infrastructure around the world.

For churches
The Chase Weekend
Many churches feel an urgent need to reach their community, but don’t know where to begin or need help gaining momentum. The Chase Weekend provides exactly that.
Through outreach-themed services, your congregation is trained and inspired to pursue the harvest. The weekend ends with a church-wide outreach where everyone puts what they’ve learned into practice. It gets your church’s name out into the community in a positive way, gives your members a life-changing opportunity to live out their faith, and fulfills the Great Commission.
The weekend includes
- A staff conference call two to three weeks before, to plan the church-wide outreach
- A staff meeting before the outreach to finalize details and equip your department heads
- Two outreach-themed services: Saturday night, “God’s Pursuit,” and Sunday morning, “Our Response”
- A church-wide outreach on Sunday night
- Materials: a Leader’s Outreach Manual for staff and a training workbook for the congregation
