chrisulery.com is the website of evangelist and author Chris Ulery. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what we do with it.

The short version: we only collect what you choose to send us, we use it only for what you asked for, and we never sell it.

What we collect and why

  • Booking requests. When you ask Chris to speak, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), your church or organization, event dates, the topic and format you’re considering, and your message. It is emailed to Chris and stored in the website’s database so he can reply and plan your event.
  • Contact form. When you send a message, we collect your name, email address, what it’s about, and your message. It is emailed to Chris and stored in the website’s database so he can reply.
  • Study guide sign-ups. When you sign up for the free Is God Mean? study guide, we collect your email address. It is kept by MailerLite, the email service we use. MailerLite sends you a confirmation email first, then the study guide and occasional updates about Is God Mean?, including when the book releases. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Blog comments. Commenting is closed, but older posts still show past comments with the name the commenter gave. Email addresses are never shown publicly.
  • Videos. Some pages include YouTube videos. When a video loads or plays, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect information under Google’s own privacy policy.
  • Security and backups. Like most websites, our web host and our security software record technical details such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and to block attacks and repeated failed logins. We also keep backup copies of the website, which can include form messages, so the site can be restored if something goes wrong.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
  • We don’t currently use advertising trackers or analytics tools. If we add them, we will update this page first.

Cookies

The site itself does not set cookies to track visitors. Security software may set a small technical cookie, and YouTube may set cookies when a video loads or plays.
